Effects of UV rays over skin
On continues exposure to ultra violet rays, the cells in the skin starts to get affected and starts to show abnormalities. The ultra violet rays affect the DNA in the skin and causes genetic mutations that may lead to formation of skin cancer. The health organization has termed the rays as the major carcinogen for the formation of the skin cancer. In order to protect oneself from the radiation, there are number of sun cream products that are out in the market that protects them from getting affected by skin diseases like the skin cancer. Studies have shown that nearly a million are affected by the skin cancer every year and the number stands at 250000 in America alone. Studies have also listed that the color of the skin also plays a role in this. People who are fair are tend to be affect more than those who are not.
Skin cancer due to UV rays
The ultra violet rays that are emitted from the sun are seems to be causing some serious damage to the living organisms and it has to be taken a note off. The rays are basically divide in to three types out of which the ultra violet rays C are absorbed by the ozone layer and helps use from further damage. Initially scientists considered that only the ultra violet rays B affects the humans and causes harmful effects like skin cancer. But a deeper study proves the assumption to be wrong and shows that even the UV A also can cause severe damage to the person when exposed on long term basis. But the formation of skin cancer does not happen over a night, they are formed due to exposure of harmful rays over a long period. People can protect them from these effects by regular usage of skin creams that prevents entry of UV rays.
UV rays and skin cancer
Even after millions of years, sun is still the leading source of energy in fact, the only major natural source for earth. With the huge amount of benefits that it provides, there are also harms due to the same radiations that provide the source of energy. A part of the radiation of the sun also affects the humans when come in direct contact of it and the rays are known as the UV rays. The UV rays are generally classified into three types, UVA, UVB and UVC rays. And among the three that are mentioned above, the last of the three is absorbed by the ozone layer and the remaining two passes through the layer and affects the living organisms. One such problem that arises due to it is skin cancer that seem to be familiar in the recent years due to the high level of pollution that exists in the urban areas.
Global scenario
Health and fitness is one of most concern areas now in this global scenario. The activities like travelling by motor vehicles, rooms with A.C, food stuff in packets are just evidences of easy life style. In earlier days, humans were hunting in order to get their food. But now, we do not put any hard work or activity to get food. We can just buy in a shop. Also our ancestors ate only natural food and there was no contamination or adulteration in food. But in the present scene, the foods are coming packets which are prepared few days before. Also adulteration in food items also happens everywhere in the world. Now-a-days, people do not exercise regularly which ultimately results in extra weight. This fatty body is the main reason for many diseases like diabetes. We should exercise daily at least for 30 minutes to keep our health at a good condition.
